Jamilla El-Shafei

Jamilla has been practicing the art of Micropigmentation, also known as permanent cosmetics, since 1994. She is a board-certified Fellow of the American Academy of Micropigmentation. With 17 years and thousands of hours of procedures to her credit, her work is held in high regard by both the medical establishment as well as the beauty industry. She is New England's most sought after Permanent Cosmetics Specialist.

She has a background in art and she brings her training and "artful eye" to her work. Her artistic sensibility and her unparalleled artistry sets her work apart from her competitors.

Jamilla received a high level of training in Micropigmentation at the Rochester General Hospital, Plastic Surgery Division, in New York. She also receives advanced training in addition to attending multiple conferences in her field each year. Jamilla holds an Advanced Aesthetic Diploma from the Catherine Hinds Institute and a diploma from the Electrology Institute of New England. She entered the beauty industry nearly 20 years ago as an aesthetician, but as soon as she performed her first brow procedure she knew that Permanent Cosmetics would be her life's work.

She specializes in both cosmetic and paramedical procedures, such as the enhancement or correction of eyebrows, eyeliner or lips, as well as scar camouflage and restoration of the areola complex. Jamilla developed a "trompe l'oeil" technique for creating realistic-looking brows with delicate strokes which mimic hair. Her natural-looking brow work has earned her a national reputation, as her clientele travels to Boston from all over the country.
