Candela V-Beam ® Perfecta

Candela V-Beam ® Perfecta is a Pulsed Dye Laser which utilizes a concentrated beam of light that targets blood vessels as well as pigmented lesions in the skin. This light is converted into heat which then destroys the blood vessel or pigmented lesion leaving the surrounding skin undamaged. The skin is protected by Candela’s Dynamic Cooling Device ™ which sprays cryogen onto the skin prior to each pulse of the laser; this allows greater patient comfort during the procedure. Some patients may require a topical anesthetic prior to the treatment. The Candela V-Beam ® Perfecta may require additional treatments depending on the condition that is being treated and patient compliance. Common conditions to treat are:

• Angiomas
• Brown Spots
• Broken Capillaries of the face
• Stretch marks (respond best to pink or red)
• Scars (from surgical procedures or trauma)
• Poikiloderma of Civatte (uneven color of the neck)
